COVID Parent Survey
Posted 1/12/22

Dear Latrobe School District Families,

The COVID-19 Pandemic has impacted all of us in one way or another and has significantly changed the way our schools have been required to operate. Whether it was distance learning, extended quarantines, mask requirements, social distancing, or canceled activities, we know that each student and family was somehow affected. Now, as a new calendar year begins, we find ourselves still grappling with COVID issues.  In fact, just this week El Dorado County posted record high numbers of COVID cases, and unfortunately, our district is seeing corresponding increases in student and staff positivity.

The Latrobe School District’s Board of Trustees understands that there is a pressing need to discuss issues relating to COVID 19, and as such, had planned to hold a study session on the evening of January 25th. However, given the increased number of COVID cases in our community and the risks associated with large, in-person gatherings, the board has elected to postpone the study session to a date in February. We know that this delay is unfortunate, but it is our hope that such a postponement will help reduce community transmission and keep schools open and community members safe.

In the meantime, the Board would like to invite all Latrobe parents to share their thoughts via a survey linked below. The results from each survey will be carefully reviewed by our board members and a collective response to the community will be written and shared. We are actively working to reschedule the study session and will send out notice of this meeting as soon as a date has been determined.  Once again, we apologize for the postponement, and a new meeting will be scheduled soon.  Thanks for your understanding and have a great day.
