Speech and Debate

  Miller’s Hill School (grades 4-8) has instituted a program focusing on the California Content Standards of Speaking and Listening. Ms. Sedgwick provides training in speech, public speaking, poetry, drama and debate. It is through these skills that students become proficient and comfortable in public speaking situations. Ms. Sedgwick assists with the Oratorical Contest preparation and provide students the opportunity to showcase their skills to parents and visitors. Students also perform poetry readings and short drama productions throughout the year..
