Creating a Famous Artist
Photo Story

Week 1 & Week 2

  • Review the CARS list for
    evaluating research sources.
  • Review plagiarism and how
    to avoid it.
  • Review how to cite website and other resources.
  1. Research famous artists using the websites listed under "Research Websites."
  2. Choose a famous artist of your choice and one of their masterpieces (for art project). Print out a color copy of the masterpiece, write your name and grade on it, and place it in the tray at front of class.
  3. Copy and paste the Famous Artist Research Questions into a Word document. Include a header with your first and last name and the date. Save the document as Famous Artist.
  4. Based on your research, type your answers to each of the research questions (should be a paragraph or two). Include citations to show where you found your information.
  5. Find a quote by or about the artist and copy it into your Word document. Include a citation to show where you found the quote
  6. Find 3 or more images to include in your Photo Story (image of the artist, images of the artist's work, etc.). Save images into your Picture folder. Copy images into your Famous Artist Word document. Include citations under each image to show where you found the images.

Week 3 & 4

  1. Watch the online tutorial video on How to Use Photo Story.
  2. Use the Photo Story Checklist to complete your Photo Story.
  3. Email both your research questions and your completed PhotoStory using your Gaggle email account. Make sure you go to the Homework Drop Box to submit your work.
